Yes, you read that right. If you are avoiding food to try to lose weight, that is your first mistake. My natural weight loss diet involves eating, and eating more to lose more. Sound like the diet for you? It is possible to lose more weight by eating more healthy foods and eating up to six small meals per day!

Getting Started

Keep a food journal for the first week and write down everything you are eating. Make note of calorie content and carbohydrates. This will give you a starting point. Then you begin devising a natural weight loss diet based on these foods.

If you are consuming junk, time to throw it all out. This is serious business. No more fast food either if you are serious about losing the weight. Don't worry. By the time you re-arrange your eating patterns you will no longer crave the junk foods.

No More Soda Pop

What? That is correct. By eliminating pop, even diet pop-which is actually worse, you are eliminating empty calories. Same goes for alcoholic beverages. So what do you drink? Water. If you are not consuming at least eight to ten glasses of pure water each day, you are carrying around a lot of water weight. By drinking more water you are flushing out the system. This is all part of a natural weight loss diet.

Okay, now for the fun part. This is where you eat. Never skip a meal. This can be hard to adjust to, but it is important to follow this program. Eat small meals. Eat healthy grains, fiber and plenty of fruits and vegetables. Green leafy vegetables will provide iron and other essential nutrients.

You can have unlimited amounts of vegetables, either raw or steamed. I eat egg-white omelets three times per week for breakfast, adding green peppers, onion and mushrooms. I also eat an all fruit breakfast other days. This gets your metabolism going and you will burn fat all day long. You will not get hungry. By eating small portions every two to three hours the weight will come off. Stick to lean proteins. Remove skin from chicken. Keep your portions palm size, but remember that vegetables are basically free. If you enjoy fish, eat it more often. Avoid breading your foods and poach or bake instead of frying.

Exercise

Another essential part of a natural weight loss diet is the dreaded exercise. Devote at least thirty minutes per day to some form of moderate exercise and you will lose the pounds faster. Think about adding some light weight training as well. If you create more lean muscle you will be burning more fat. Follow these tips and you will take off the weight and keep it off for life.
