Healthy Foods To Lose Weight They Don't Want You To Know

We're all on a quest for healthy foods to lose weight. Most of us have a definition of good health that includes your weight and percentage of body fat. If somebody said they were healthy, we'd expect them to be slim and trim without any excess fat. Healthy foods shouldn't cause us to put on weight, but what are healthy foods to lose weight?

Healthy foods to lose weight are everywhere in everyone's   diet . These aren't magical foods that have some special property that speeds metabolism or burns fat. They're probably in your  diet  already, but what you've got to do is work your  diet  so that these foods will work for you. So, let's look further into this problem, first by looking at what foods are healthy, and then at how they work their magic.

I feel that healthy eating is very simple. Your goal is to eat as much natural food as possible. If it is processed, in a bag, jar, bottle, can, package, carton then do not eat it. If it has a used by date on it longer than 7 days, do not eat it. So what does this leave us with? Meat, fish, fowl, nuts, seeds, and colorful natural carbohydrates, such as vegetables and fruits. When you eliminate processed and packaged foods from your  diet  you will find that a majority of these foods are based on wheat, rice, flour and corn. Things like breads, biscuits, cereals and pastas. Many of these products are staples of our average  diet  and many people believe responsible for rising diabetes, obesity rates and heart disease the world over.

Getting rid of foods that are high in carbohydrates gets us back to a more natural  diet . We often call this the "paleo  diet " because it resembles what our ancestors ate before they became farmers. Scientific literature is starting to show that this approach is a great way to lose weight. What they haven't agreed on until recently his how this  diet  of reduced carbs helps. The real reason is that it lowers the effects of your body's insulin.

A little bit of scientific explanation is needed. Insulin is a hormone released by the pancreas to help regulate blood sugar. When there is too much sugar in the blood insulin helps convert it to fuel. Insulin also plays a large role in fat storage. So with too many carbohydrates, the body releases insulin and we can promote fat storage. But wait it gets worse. What can happen due our excessive intake of carbohydrates, is that overtime, the cells of the body become less sensitive to insulin. Therefore the body often has to release more insulin which can trigger more fat storage. It's a vicious cycle.

So, the answer is Yes, there are healthy foods to lose weight. It's all about watching your intake of carbohydrates. By doing this with the food you eat, it allows your insulin to balance the body's fat storage. You can forget about tasteless low-fat foods, fad  diets  or calories counting. What you need to do is eat more natural food and avoid processed stuff. This is the way your body was meant to eat, and if you follow this  diet , it will work the way it's supposed to.
